Guy Jacoby obtained his BA in Literature and Philosophy from Tel Aviv University in 2019. He studied at the École Normale Supérieure (Ulm) as an “étudiant de la Sélection internationale” between 2021 and 2024, completing an MA in French Literature at Sorbonne University. His first master’s thesis examined the death of characters in À la recherche du temps perdu, while his second thesis explored Proust’s influence on literary texts dealing with “hidden children,” mostly by Georges Perec, Marcel Cohen and W. G. Sebald. Guy Jacoby will spend the 2024-2025 academic year in the Department of Comparative Thought and Literature as a visiting scholar.
