On November 12, 2020, Hent de Vries was announced as the recipient of the Prix du Rayonnement de la langue et de la littérature françaises, one of the Grands Prix awarded yearly by the Académie Française, in Paris. The prize was awarded for his most recent publications in French, notably his book Miracles et métaphysique  (Presses Universitaires de France, 2019), the reworked text of the Étienne Gilson lectures, which he delivered in 2018 at the Institut Catholique de Paris. CTL graduate student Lucy Bergeret translated the Étienne Gilson lectures and subsequently edited the largely expanded completed version of these lectures for the official French book publication.
